Keshorn out of medal hunt at World Championships

T&T’s two main medal hopes at the World Athletics Championships fell short last night.

Jereem Richards who had posted the 4^th fastest time in the competition this year to earn a spot in the men’s 200m finals, was undone by the Americans who finished 1,2,3.

Noah Lyles effortlessly won the gold with a World leading time of 19.31s.

Richards finished 6^th in 20.06s.

Keshorn Walcott meanwhile fell way short of his best managing to throw just 78.87m.

Grenada’s Anderson Peters topped the qualifiers with a massive 89.91m throw.
