Keshorn out of medal hunt at World Championships

T&T’s two main medal hopes at the World Athletics Championships fell short last night.

Jereem Richards who had posted the 4th fastest time in the competition this year to earn a spot in the men’s 200m finals, was undone by the Americans who finished 1,2,3.

Noah Lyles effortlessly won the gold with a World leading time of 19.31s.

Richards finished 6th in 20.06s.

Keshorn Walcott meanwhile fell way short of his best managing to throw just 78.87m.

Grenada’s Anderson Peters topped the qualifiers with a massive 89.91m throw.
