Kees’s island vibe mixes well in new Afro-Soca with Del B, Wiz Kid, Flavour and Walshy Fire

Soca artiste Kees Dieffenthaller teamed up with Nigerian producer Del B, Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire for an awesome new Afro-Soca titled ‘Consider II’.

According to Complex the feel-good track has come to disrupt the “diaspora wars” (which sees African and Caribbean people going at it over cultural topics) to seamless blend West African and West Indian influences.

Kees told Complex that the sounds of the Caribbean and Africa have kept the world dancing, even in these times,”

He said “it’s always powerful when we combine those energies. It all came from Africa, so it’s an honour to bring the energy of soca and calypso from Trinidad to this collaboration.”

Del B added that “one of the coolest things about making music is how it can bring different and great personalities together.”

COVID-19 has put a strain on a artistes around the globe, however the use of technology has since increased and persons have been pushing the envelope.
