Kees heaps praise on Shaggy for helping showcase soca with Tamron Hall appearance

Soca star Kees Diefenthaller has praised his collaborator Shaggy, after the two appeared on US talk show the Tamron Hall Show.

Kees and the Jamaican chart-topper performed the selection “Mood” was released during T&T’s carnival, and is featured on Shaggy’s upcoming all soca album “In that Mood.”

Speaking briefly before performing alongside Shaggy, Kees said it is an honour and always amazing when T&T and Jamaica come together.

In a whatsapp message following the appearance, Kees said:
“Shout out to Shaggy and his awesome team for helping us take Soca to new heights.”

He added: “This showcase was just a taste of what’s coming next for us and the incredible music and culture we have in T&T and the Caribbean. It’s amazing to see so many people enjoying and sharing the clip. This song is truly special and represents a moment for us to come together, show our strength and support our music and culture. Let’s keep rising and spreading the soca love.”

Shaggy and Kees will perform at the Cali Roots Festival in Monterey, California, tomorrow.
