Gary Griffith cites record as CoP as proof he’ll be a good Prime Minister

Dates for elections must be set and sealed and should not be changed because the Government of the day fears that it would lose.

This is the assertion coming from Former Police Commissioner and current leader of the NTA, Gary Griffith.

Mr Griffith was at the time commenting on the Government’s decision to delay Local Government Elections by extending the term of Local Government representatives from 3 to 4 years.

Griffith said the decision was a sign of a creeping dictatorship and alleged that it was done because the PNM was hoping to do damage control as it feared losing even more ground.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show Griffith also said that his record in the post of Police Commissioner is the evidence that he can make a good Prime Minister.

Griffith claimed that he would bring his ability to transform and increase confidence in the police service to the public service.
