Kamla vs Vasant in UNC Internal Election today

The race for the leadership of the United National Congress comes to an end today, with Vasant Bharath challenging Kamla Persad Bissessar for the position she has held since 2010, when she became the party’s first female leader and subsequently Prime Minister May of 2010.

Since then it’s been a rough ride for the now Opposition leader who has lost two General Elections.

114,000 Registered UNC members are eligible to vote from 8 am and 6 pm today Sunday. Voting will be held in all 41 constituencies in Trinidad and Tobago.
