Kamla to PNM: Keep my name out yuh mouth!

United National Congress leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar is calling on the People’s National Movement’s Women’s League to “leave my name out of your mouth”.

She is also calling on Local Government councillors to boycott today’s meeting with Government.

She made the comment at the UNC’s Monday Night Forum last night, as she knocked a PNM Women’s League statement denouncing her silence on UNC Senator Anil Roberts’ recent “attack” on Sharon Clark-Rowley, the Prime Minister’s wife.

In a release yesterday, the league denounced the Opposition leader’s silence on Senator Anil Roberts’ recent “attack” on Mrs Clark-Rowley which it interprets as her support.

The release said Persad-Bissessar should remind Roberts that there is a level of decency that must be upheld and thresholds from which they should refrain when people place themselves for public service.

The league also said Roberts’ “colossal use of sewage-filled attacks against Mrs Clark-Rowley must be strongly deprecated by all citizens.”

Bur Persad – Bissessar last night questioned why the League didn’t focus on why pepper spray isn’t in effect.

She also listed “PNM paedophile ring, joblessness, economic diversification and students failing as other issues that should be focused on.
