Kamla: AG a failure, liar and an embarrassment; he must go

Opposition leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar is again calling for the head of Attorney General Reginald Armour.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, she asked, “How much more will AG Armour humiliate himself with his lying? I call on him to have some decency and resign now! He is a failure, a liar and incompetent. He is destructive to our democracy. (Keith) Rowley’s rogue terrorist government has turned our country into a banana republic. ”

Persad-Bissessar claims the President’s silk appointments were a well-orchestrated scheme between the PM’s, AG’s and President’s offices.

At his Press conference Tuesday, she said the PM wriggled and squirmed at the podium attempting to defend his lying AG Armour and his nepotistic puppet President.

She said the press release by the Law Association (LATT) confirms that no consultation was carried out with that body regarding these awards, so Reginald Armour has been caught lying again.

“He is an embarrassment to the office of AG and the worst this country has ever seen in our history.

She said Rowley appointed a low-level PNM political functionary as President of our Republic to act as a puppet for himself.

According to Persad-Bissessar, Christine Kangaloo was never qualified to be President and her nepotistic actions on Monday, by awarding silk to her husband and brother further prove this.

She said, “The President’s husband and brother have gorged themselves on over 40 million dollars in State briefs. An additional 10.7 million dollars has been allocated in the mid-year review for the operation of her household.”

“AG Armour has also collected $17.5 million. Of this sum, $3.2 million was collected during his tenure. Junior attorneys in Armour’s Marie de Vere chambers, Vanessa Gopaul and Raphael Ajodhia, collected a total of $12.2 million.”

The UNC leader said, “The parasitic oligarchy of the PNM has now entrenched themselves as the parasitic oligarchy of the Trinidad and Tobago treasury..”
