JTUM Rejects CPO’s Four Percent Wage Offer, Citing Rising Cost Of Living

The Joint Trade Union Movement rejects the four percent wage offer brought to the collective bargaining table by the Chief Personnel Officer during negotiations.

This position was made public by President of the Public Services Association, PSA at a news briefing held at the PSA Head Office on Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, Tuesday.

Mr Baptiste cited the rising cost of living and its effect on the working class as factors associated with this position.

The PSA Head said the labour movement will also defend permanent jobs, the retrenchment of workers, and what it described as an attack on organised labour.
