Creed actor, Johnathan Majors was arrested in New York City this weekend for allegedly assaulting a woman.
A TMZ report claims that police arrested Majors for allegedly putting hands on a woman.
However his team says it is not true.
Law enforcement sources say the actor was booked Saturday morning on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment of his girlfriend after she accused him of cheating.
Cops responded to a call for service around 11am near the Chelsea neighbourhood of Manhattan.
The victim in this case, his girlfriend, relayed to police that Majors had gotten into a dispute with her and proceeded to attack her, after she questioned him about a text he sent to another woman.
TMZ claims their sources said the alleged victim had visible injuries — including a laceration behind her ear, redness and marks to her face.
She was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
As for Majors, he was cuffed and taken to jail on the spot, as police felt there was enough evidence for probable cause.
Majors is currently out of custody.
