Trinidad and Tobago track and field athlete Jereem Richards received a commemorative timepiece from Swiss luxury watchmaker Longines and a certificate for his record breaking 200-metre run at 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
On Saturday, Richards won the men’s 200m race in a personal best time of 19.80 seconds to erase the previous Commonwealth Games record of 19.97 seconds.
That record was previously held by Frankie Fredericks of Namibia and had been set in 1994.
