Jearleen John says crime does not start in the police station but at home

Crime does not start in police stations, this is according to Opposition Senator Jearleen John.
John was commenting on the crime situation in Trinidad and Tobago.
She says that the solution to the crime problem in T&T starts at home.
T&T has been experiencing an increase in crime recently.
The murder rate in T&T in 2021 stood at 448, this year so far there have been 155 murders.
Speaking at the UNC’s Sunday Media Briefing Senator John called for an all in approach to solving crime from all sectors of society.

She also spoke out on reasons for crime against women.
