Miss World Trinidad and Tobago, Janine Brandt, finally broke her silence over a viral video where she was highlighted some the country’s social woes.
Brabdt in the 2 min long video said her foundation, The Brandt Beauty Foundation visited a number of communities throughout Trinidad and assisted families who were in need of food and supplies.
Brandt said she was also witness to young girls who were without sanitary napkins, free education, accessibility to online learning and food and proper shelter.
Trini Twitter however did not take too well with what Brandt said – comparing her to Nicki Minaj’s latest rant about T&T’s and its lack of technology use and COVID-19 preparedness.
Clearly N*cki M*naj is her ghost writer… Because bruh😕 pic.twitter.com/eIxHHHm6pP

Today in a media release on the Miss World T&T Facebook page, Brandt said her intentions were not to portray the country in a negative light, but to highlight an issue she felt passionate about through her foundation.
