A 29 year-old Jamaican woman was killed by her lover following a lengthy domestic dispute earlier this week. Latoya Hill also known as “Tish” was a school teacher who resided at David Lane in Portland. The Portland police are still searching for the suspect who is believed to be a resident of Guys Hill in St. Mary.

Reports are that the man and woman were involved in an argument on Monday night which continued for hours. Neighbours heard the woman’s cry for help before witnessing the man dragging the woman’s body through the street towards his car. After several unsuccessful attempts, he escaped. Police arrived on the scene early Tuesday morning to find the woman lying in the street with a wound to the head. She was dressed in a black dress, with a clear plastic bag over her head and a pink plastic bag tied around her waist and thighs. There were spots of blood around the crime scene, and a knife was also discovered.
Police are continuing investigations.
