Jack on reuniting with Kamla: “UNC is lesser of two evils”

ILP founder Jack Warner says Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has made it easy for him to rekindle his relationship with UNC leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

Warner and Persad-Bissessar were pictured “arm in arm” at a UNC fundraiser on Saturday.

This sparked rumours that the duo had mended their differences after he quit the UNC in 2013 and founded the ILP.

Persad-Bissessar said last week that the UNC was willing to cooperate with smaller parties in a bid to unseat the PNM in the next General Elections.

Speaking with Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show, Warner said that right now the country needs the lesser of two evils.

Warner said the ILP has not decided if it will heed the UNC’s invitation but added this morning that the hatchets between him and the UNC leader have been buried.

When asked if he and Persad-Bissessar could successfully join forces given their history, Warner explained that past experiences should allow them to work better together this time around.
