It’s Being Suggested That Former PSC Member Roger Kawalsingh Offer Up His Mobile Devices To Be Scrutinized By Police.

A view has been expressed that recently resigned Police Service Commission member, Roger Kawalsingh, should offer to have his devices, such as laptops or phone passed on to the Police Cyber Unit so that they can be reviewed.

The comment comes from former PSC member, Martin George, while being interviewed on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital Wednesday.

Mr Kawalsingh is the third member to resign from the PSC amidst the controversy involving the appointment of an Acting Police Commissioner.

Dr Susan Craig-James and industrial relations consultant Courtney McNish have also resigned as PSC members.

Chairman, Bliss Seepersad, is now the only member of the commission.

Mr George said Mr Kawalsingh having these devices scrutinized by the authorities can ensure there were no external influences or pressure on him during his stint.

Mr George said while he is not telling Mr Kawalsingh what to do, making sure all public officials should be held accountable is a critical factor which can help boost public confidence in the country’s institutions.
