Trinidad and Tobago may be experiencing a heat wave with temperatures as high as 40 degrees Celsius.
Earlier today, the the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) said sunny, hazy and breezy conditions were expected despite a few cloudy spells accompanied by light to moderate showers at times, occurring in varying localities.
Yet citizens in the Port-of-Spain area are experiencing intense heat with a high humidity rate.
The TTMS says tonight will be partly cloudy with intermittent showers in few areas. Gusty winds, street/flash flooding are likely in areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
