President of the Criminal Bar Association, Israel Khan, is defending the DPP’s right to end the Piarco corruption case.
News Power Now asked Khan if he believed the reasons given by the DPP were sufficient to end the case.
Khan responded by noting that while he cannot comment on the decision, the reasons given appear to be sound.
He added that the DPP’s office is a fair and independent one and the only one capable of making such a decision.
Khan denied that the DPP’s decision is an indictment on the criminal justice system.
