Instagram removes the “Following” tab

Instagram‘s greatest tool for lurking will be no more, as the company announced the “Following” tab in the Activity feed will be removed. The feature, first introduced in 2011, will be erased from the app beginning this week, according to BuzzFeed.

Vishal Shah, Instagram’s head of product, told BuzzFeed many people are surprised when they discover people can see their activity, a small reason for the move.

The primary reason is that fewer people are actually using the feature anymore, and removing it provides opportunity for the app to declutter. “Simplicity was the driving factor,” Shad said.

While you may no longer to catch your friends acting flagrantly, you are now free yourself to proceed without abandon.

You also won’t be able to see your friends comments, likes and who they’re following when you slide right.

Happy trolling guys!!
