Two hundred and ninety two matters have been settled before the Industrial Court for the period 2023-2024.
This year the court disposed of 779 disputes.
President of the Industrial Court, Heather Seale said this was a decreased from 921 in the same period last year.
She was at the time speaking at a special sitting to mark the opening of the 2024 /2025 law term this morning.
Trade disputes formed the majority of matters coming before the Industrial Court.
The court said it is also pleased with its clearance rate which is now on the decline.
An update was also given on the progress made on matters brought to the court’s attention in Tobago for which several sittings were held at the Supreme Court and involved 32 workers.
