Industrial Court President Calls For Social Dialogue Among Employers And Trade Unions

Employers and trade unions are being encouraged to engage in social dialogue.

The arrangement is cited as a critical in resolving differences and issues which may arise, especially coming off the Covid-19 pandemic.

The advice was given by President of the Industrial Court, Debra Thomas Felix at the opening of the 2022\2023 Industrial Court on Monday.

The process involves deliberations between representatives from government, employers and the labour movement.

However, the labour movement has dropped out of the arrangement more than once.

It has been urged to re-enter the process by the government.

President Thomas Felix said having genuine negotiations is vital and can be effective in resolving disputes.
