Independent Senator advocates for legalisation of pepper spray

Independent Senator, Paul Richards, is calling on the government to bring to the parliament as soon as possible a bill to legalize the use of non-lethal weapons such as pepper spray.

On Tuesday the Independent Senator made the appeal as he raised a motion on the adjournment.

The Independent Senator said the time for action on this development is urgently needed.

Speaking on behalf of the National Security Minister, Stuart Young, Agriculture Minister, Clarence Rambharat, revealed how the government will address the matter.

Minister Rambharat also commented on the strength of pepper spray.
