Crime Watch host, Ian Alleyne said via a live Facebook last evening that he was given a clean bill of health after being tested positive with the Coronavirus from a recent trip to Miami in March.

Alleyne in his first Facebook live video said that he traveled on March 15 and showed no signs of the virus; however he later said he visited his private doctor after feel unwell; who later advised him to go to Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for further testing.

Alleyne said after he did the test at Mt. Hope, he was contacted by the Health Minister, Terrance Deyalsingh during his television show that his tests returned positive.

Alleyne was later transported to Caura Hospital where he claims several more tests were done.

Alleyne claims he was told that each test showed a positive sign, besides the first test, where he claims doctors said it was was a false positive.

Today Alleyne said he was given discharged papers by the hospital but was later prevented from leaving due to his live Facebook post on Tuesday 14 April.

Ian’s lawyer Gerald Ramdeen has filed a legal letter against the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for Alleyne’s stay at Caura Hospital.
