Humanity has no boundary – Senator Sheraz Ali distributes food hampers across Trinidad

People’s National Movement Senator, Imam Sheraz Ali who has been head of the Nur-e-Islam mosque in El Socorro since 2001, visited several communities across Trinidad along with a non-profit organization called The Caribbean Dowah Association.

Senator Imama Sheraz Ali spoke with IzzSo Media this evening and said during the month of Ramadan he was able to help distribute food hampers and supplies to families in need.

He said during one of their distribution drives on April 25th, within the South area of Icacos the group stumbled on a small village housed by a number of Venezuelan Nationals who were also in need.

When asked about the health status of some of the persons within the village and whether or not they have been tested for COVID-19, Senator Imam Sheraz Ali said while he is unaware of their status, he along with his team made sure to follow proper Public Health Regulations.

Senator Ali also said the Caribbean Dowah Association also visited a community on Picton Road in Laventille, today Sunday May 2nd; just behind the WASA Water Tanks where they also distributed hampers and supplies.
