Homeless man killed while attempting to cross Golconda Connector Road

A homeless man was knocked down and killed while attempting to cross a road in San Fernando this morning.

The victim was struck by a van at the Golconda Connector Road near Cross Crossing.

The man is said to be of East Indian descent and about 5 feet 10 inches. The accident happened shortly before 7 am, and no one else was injured.

Police have not yet identified the victim.

Police have since interviewed the driver of the van.

On Monday morning, an accident claimed the life of a woman believed to be a Venezuelan. She too has not been identified.

She was attempting to cross the northbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway in Freeport where a car knocked her down. Police said she could be in her mid-20s.
