A 20-year-old man is currently being interrogated by police in connection with a conspiracy to commit a home invasion in Diego Martin yesterday.
The suspect was arrested by officers of the Western Division Task Force and Operations after receiving information about a planned home invasion at a house in Diego Martin.
Police immediately mounted a sting operation during which they intercepted the 20-year-old suspect.
A search was conducted on the man during which police allegedly discovered him to be in possession of one Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol loaded with 15 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.
He was subsequently taken into custody where he is assisting detectives with their investigations.
The suspect is expected to be charged soon.
