Hinds tells IATF Officers … Well done!

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds has lauded the efforts of IATF Officers for 2022.

This despite 2022 being recorded as the bloodiest year in Trinidad and Tobago’s history with a murder toll that has passed 600 … and counting.

Recently the National Security Minister stated that did not have support in fighting crime from 70% of the population, a comment that drew the ire of the Opposition, criminologists and the population.

In the face of these obstacles Minister Hinds yesterday met with officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, who are attached to the Inter-Agency Task Force and the Guard and Emergency Branch, to relay his best wishes for the Christmas season and for the upcoming new year.

The visit took place at the Headquarters of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)/Guard and Emergency Branch (GEB), located at #17 Garden Road, Aranguez South, San Juan.

During his official address, Minister Hinds took the opportunity to thank the Officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force and by extension all officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, on behalf of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, for their selfless dedication to duty, for their decorum and for their professionalism over the last year.
