Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (HPCL) will be reopening the roads in the Bennet Village /Lot 10 area to the public.
The company said it has noticed the marked increase in serious criminal activities along the Heritage Petroleum Company Limited Field Roads over the past weeks. “These activities threaten the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors and the public at large who utilise these roads in their commute,” the company stated via a press release.
Heritage’s Corporate Security has been working with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to reduce the risk posed to their employees and commuters in several ways. Heritage has increased mobile patrols in conjunction with the TTPS and in addition, will be using technology, including cameras at strategic points along the roadways and in selected facilities to provide surveillance.
The company wants to take this opportunity to remind the community to be observant and be mindful of their own safety.
They are advising persons to report any suspicious activity.
