Heritage Petroleum distributes payment to Woodland residents affected by oil seepage

Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) continued the disbursement of ex gratia payments to persons who may have sustained losses arising out of the oil seepage that occurred on 18 November 2020 in the vicinity of the Godineau River, Woodland.


Today’s distribution was the second phase of a process, which began on 12 March 2021 at the company’s Penal compound. In total Heritage received 132 claims linked to the Woodland incident, which were by the Company’s Adjusters.

Throughout the process Heritage said it ensured that all stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament for Oropouche West Dave Tancoo and others were informed and engaged.
