Help Those In Need Urges A Government Minister On Today’s Observance Of Eid Mubarak

Citizens are being reminded to help those less fortunate in our society, whether through hampers, sharing a warm meal or monetary donations.

The advice comes from Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Kazim Hosein, on today’s observance of Eid Mubarak.

Minister Hosein who is also a devout member of the Muslim community, said Eid-ul-Fitr, is the “Festival of Breaking the Fast” and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a sacred period of fasting, prayer, charity and self-introspection.

Minister Hosein said let us be our brother’s keeper.

Mr Hosein said though many are facing challenging times due to the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, he is praying that we take comfort knowing that the Almighty continues to be our Guide.

As the Muslim community and by extension the National community prepare to celebrate the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, Minister Hosein said may Eid-ul-Fitr bring you and your family peace, happiness and comfort.
