Heavy rains cause severe flooding, landslides

The Ministry of Government and Rural Development is reporting dozens of landslides across the county.
The Northern Region was severely affected following heavy rainfall.
Senior Disaster Management Coordinator in the Ministry Government and Rural Development Jerry David said his office received many phone calls and reports of flooding yesterday.

Persons who live in flood and landslide prone areas have been warned to be cautious.
They are also being told not to take any action when the landslides are in action or even when it has just occurred.
