The Ministry of Health, on Friday, reported a staggering 974 new positive cases of covid19. However it said those cases reflect samples taken during the period, January 1st – 6th and not the last 24hrs.
In its latest clinical update, the Ministry also recorded 18 more covid19 related fatalities. This takes the total number of deaths in T&T, since the start of the pandemic, to 3,010.
There are currently 16,119 active positive cases of covid19 in T&T of which 607 have been hospitalised.
The Ministry provided additional data related to deaths by vaccination status, indicating that of the 3,010 fatalities on record 165 were fully vaccinated while some 2,455 were noted to be not fully vaccinated.
