Health Minister: Gov’t Has No Intention Of Implementing A Mandatory Vaccination Policy

There is no intention by the government to implement a policy of mandatory vaccination.

This point was made clear by Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, in the Senate on Tuesday afternoon.

Minister Deyalsingh said the government continues to support the position covid-19 vaccines should be taken by persons on a voluntary basis.

Minister Deyalsingh insisted the ruling administration is not about forcing any one to be inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine.

Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, also wanted to know if public sector workers will be impacted by the development but the question was disregarded by the Senate President based on the earlier answer given by the Minister Deyalsingh.
