A few companies have suspended their operations for today, Saturday, as Tropical Storm Gonzalo makes landfall in Trinidad and Tobago.
Tobago is currently under storm watch while the promised rains have started to batter Trinidad.
As a result, the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) has closed its Carenage, Maraval, Petit Valley, Woodbrook, and St James District Health Facilities.
It said members of the public can continue to access 24-hour care at the Accident and Emergency Departments of the Port of Spain General Hospital, and St James Medical Complex.
Digicel has also closed all its branches today.
In a release, the company said that persons can use its online facilities for top-up, and get answers to any questions they may have.
It said its 100 number is available, however, due to the influx of calls, persons may experience a longer wait time than usual.

Caribbean Airlines has also suspended its inter-island service.
The Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago (ZSTT) has also announced that it will be closed due to the inclement weather.
