Hazardous Seas Alert in effect – report of massive waves at Maracas Bay

The TTMS said they have been receiving several reports of large battering waves/swells at Maracas Beach, Trinidad as well as Store Bay, Tobago.

Please be reminded that there is a Hazardous Seas Alert in effect until Saturday 2nd November!

Sea bathers, fishermen, and small craft operators should carefully monitor NEARSHORE coastal sea conditions and exercise caution along affected areas. Be alert for dangerous breaking waves and currents. Follow the instructions of lifeguards.

Please note that conditions can be exacerbated in the hours surrounding high tide (the next high tide is ~4PM). Daily tidal times can be found here: https://www.metoffice.gov.tt/forecast.
