Hazardous Seas Alert 1 – Yellow Level

Met Office report states that northerly long period swells are expected to affect the Northern and Eastern exposed coastal areas of Tobago and to a lesser extent, the Northern and Eastern coastal areas of Trinidad. These conditions are expected to persist until Monday 27th March 2023.
These swells can result in battering waves at coastal regions and can be exacerbated during high tides.
All marine interests should monitor near-shore / coastal sea conditions and exercise caution along affected areas. Avoid marine activities. Continue to monitor updates from official sites

Generally sunny and breezy conditions will at times be interrupted by occasional cloudy spells with light to moderate showers, particularly during the morning period.

A mostly fair afternoon except for the isolated shower can be expected.

Winds can gust at times, especially near showers.

Predominantly sunny and breezy/windy despite the isolated, brisk shower.
