Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, says its important the population citizens guard against the decline of the spirit of community, the rise of individualism, selfishness with a disconnection from the true, or inner selves.
Dr Rowley made the appeal in his Christmas Day message.
The Prime Minister said citizens love, forgive, hope and overcome.
Dr Rowley said individualism creates the stresses of anger, impatience, suspicion, disconnectedness and despair which exist in some pockets of our society.
The Prime Minister also urged people to use this season of good cheer to continue to impact homes, communities and society at large by sharing that message of hope in spite of the various challenges that we face.
