A bride in India decided to proceed with her nuptials and married a wedding guest after the groom disappeared from the wedding venue.
According to reports, everyone was getting ready for the wedding ceremony, when all of a sudden, the groom disappeared.
Both families worried about his whereabouts and began an extensive search to track down the groom while the bride was growing more and more upset. They soon realized the groom did not mysteriously disappear due to foul play; he had actually planned to skip out on the wedding.
Someone at the wedding party suggested a last-minute alternative to find another suitable man to be the groom, and that’s exactly what they did. After the wedding, they filed an official complaint against the original groom with the inspector.
“We have received a complaint in this regard from both the bride and groom sides. While the bride’s side has sought suitable action against the groom and his family members, the groom’s father, Dharampal, in his complaint, has sought police help to trace his missing son. Investigations are continuing in this regard,” Inspector Narwal, Shesh Narain Pandey said.
