Griffith responds to President’s apology

President Paula Mae Weekes said she had concerns from the outset that legal notice 183 section 4 which was used to appoint both Griffith and Jacobs was faulty law.
She noted that she discussed these concerns with the Commission and the Office of the Chief Parliamentary Council.
She said she’s waiting on a list of nominees which first requires a new Commission to be constituted.
She maintained in order for a Police Commissioner to be appointed the process must be done under a valid selection process order so that a situation like this does not reoccur.
However Griffith maintained that Institutions must do what they are mandated to do and leave the work of other Institutions to them.
