Griffith responds to Lady Chancellor raid

The Police Commissioner says an early morning raid at a house on Lady Chancellor in St Ann’s has resulted in the discovery of 22 women believed to be engaged in lewd dancing and prostitution.

He told the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1 FM this morning that some of the women are believed to be minors despite claiming otherwise. Reports indicate that businessmen driving luxury cars were among 20 men taken away from the “$500 a night” apartment complex where 22 females, some underage were found in a police raid shortly after midnight.

Commissioner Griffith said this morning that the raid was organized after a poster for a party advertised as Secret Sundays began circulating on social media.

The poster advertised the event as a private Latin pool party.

It added that the party will be held and a secret location where secret pleasures await.

Commissioner Griffith said this morning that the women will be processed and some may require counseling or assistance as they may be minors.

Commissioner Griffith noted that this is part of the TTPS’ bigger plan to crack down on the illegal activities that fund crime.
