An 80-year old grandmother was robbed of TT$200 early this morning at her Chaguanas home.
The woman said the man who she knew from the area forced himself into her home. Armed with a knife, he announced a hold-up and demanded money. He then hit her and stood behind her with a knife to her neck. During the ordeal, he pulled the knife across her face and cut her. She gave him $200 in cash before escaping.
The 80-year-old woman was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility before being transferred to Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope. for treatment.
Investigations are continuing.
