A 64-year-old retiree has been charged for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old granddaughter.
The man, of Saut D’eau Road, Maraval, was charged with two counts of sexual touching of a child and one count of sexual penetration of a child by officers of the Western Division Child Protection Unit (CPU).
He was charged on Thursday.
The 14-year-old girl reported that while visiting the home of her grandfather, he allegedly sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions throughout the length of her stay.
The man will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today, Friday, where he will answer to the charges.
