Gov’t thankful to Bermuda as donation of vaccines arrive in TT

At 4:23pm on Monday 24th May, 9,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Trinidad and Tobago from Bermuda.

These vaccines were generously donated to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago by the Government of Bermuda from their existing allocation of vaccines.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry says the consignment arrived at the Piarco International Airport at 4:23 on Monday afternoon, and were immediately handed over to the Health Ministry’s technical team.

Government has since extended thanks to Bermuda for “this much needed assistance” and for also providing transportation for the vaccines.

The vaccines were reportedly sent via a private plane.
