Gov’t has no plans to approve online internet gambling

Government is not planning to grant legislative approval to clear the way for online internet gambling in Trinidad and Tobago at this time.

This is made known by Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert.

The Finance Minister revealed this while leading off proceedings on the
Gambling Gaming and Betting Control Bill 2021 in the House of Representative today.

Minister Imbert made it clear appointments to the proposed Gaming Commission will be made by the President and not the line minister acting on advice of the cabinet.
