Gov’t Expects Objection To Decision To Financially Reward Health Workers, Says PM Rowley

Government is expecting some objection from its decision to financially reward health workers who were on the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, speaking at political meeting held in Belmont on Tuesday night, said the government will recognise and honour the work of medical personnel during the pandemic.

Dr Rowley said government will follow through on this promise because it can afford it.

The Prime Minister also responded to critics of the move, adding that the government is grateful for the contribution of health workers during the pandemic.
