Government To Make Adjustment To National Cultural Policy Following Covid19 Disruptions

The disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the government to make adjustment to the National Cultural Policy of Trinidad and Tobago.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell, said the policy has five goals, covers a period of five years, but had to be adjusted due to the impact on lives and livelihoods caused by the Covid disruptions.

Minister Mitchell told the Senate a review of the policy is on-going so that by 2025 or even before a new cultural policy can be introduced.
