The government is considering, in a reduced capacity, a programme similar to the food box venture which was carried out as a Covid-19 support measure by the National Agricultural Marketing and Development Corporation.
Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives, Camille Robinson Regis, made the disclosure during an answer to a question posed by the Opposition Member of Parliament for Couva North Friday afternoon.
Mrs Robinson Regis was speaking on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.
Mrs Robinson Regis noted, however, it is not government’s intention to further extend the emergency food support measure as part of its Covid-19 response.
