Government Taking Measures To Eliminate Child Labour In All Forms

The government says it remains committed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal and “take immediate and effective measures to … secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour and, by 2025, end child labour in all its forms”.

The commitment is given in a media release today ahead World Day Against Child Labour on June 12^th.

The theme is “Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour.”

The Labour Ministry says on this day, the International Labour Organisation, together with its constituents and partners are calling for increased investment in social protection systems and schemes to establish solid social protection floors and protect children from child labour.
