Government Open To Conciliation With Trade Unions In Court Over Four Percent Wage Offer

The government is not ruling out the option of conciliation with the four trade unions which have decided to go the Industrial Court over the four percent wage offer by the Chief Personnel Officer.

Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, during the Budget Debate this week revealed the names of the trade unions which have decided to take their concerns to the Industrial Court.

They are Fire, Prison, Police Services representing trade union and the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association.

Mr Imbert said the government is open to the process of conciliation.
