So says Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert.
Minister Imbert was at the time responding to critics who have been calling on the ruling administration to cut expenditure.
Mr Imbert defended Monday’s $52.4 billion budget.
Minister Imbert made the comments while speaking at Tuesday’s Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association post budget webinar.
Minister Imbert cited the areas where government plans to reduce expenditure.
Minister Imbert also focused on the cost to tax payers from the fuel subsidy.
