Government Considers Using Commerical Banks As Payment Option For Citizens To Pay Property Tax

There will be no additional locations before the September 30th deadline for the payment of Property tax locally.

However, efforts are being made to expand the capacity of existing locations.

The government is also considering the option of using commercial banks for the payment of the tax.

Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, made the disclosure during the question and answer period in the Senate on Tuesday.

He was asked given the imminent September 30th deadline for payment of Property Tax, can he advise whether additional payment options and locations will be made available to alleviate long waiting periods and queues being experienced by citizens.
